The Legends of Ladonia: Chapter Four

Bloom closed her locker and headed for the school library, she volunteered there after school.  She was humming to herself, everyone was gone except maybe a couple teachers packing up in there classrooms, and probably Mrs. S, so she wasn't really paying attention to her surroundings.
She heard someone turning pages in a book behind her and turned around to see who was there.
Two girls, one with blonde hair and one with brown, stood over a pile of books giggling.
"Um, sorry, but the library's closed."  The blonde girl smiled at her, "We know," she continued flipping through one of the book, "Oooh!  Liz, look!  It's Derik!"  The brown haired girl, Liz, pointed to the page, "And there's Jake!"
They were silent for a moment, Bloom was about to try telling them to please leave, when they both screamed.
Bloom jumped, "W-what is it!?"  Liz looked at the other girl, "GRACIE!!  OH. MY. GOSH.  I simply cannot handle Joey's HOTNESS!!!"
Bloom frowned, "I'm sorry, but no one's supposed to be in here after 4:00."
Liz crossed her arms, "Gosh!  Can you not have mercy on two fangirls.  Besides, you're one yourself, are you not?"
Bloom blinked, "What?"  Gracie closed the book, which happened to be a middle school yearbook, "Liz!  Don't be rude!  Hi!  I'm Gracie, this is Liz.  We'll be leaving soon, we just need to finish up some research."
Bloom sighed, "Well...  Only for a little while, but only because I'm here, but you can't be here after I leave!"

The Legends of Ladonia: Chapter Three

"But...  It's the second day of school!"
Ms. D crossed her arms, "Justice Matthews, you have detention and there is no but about it!  Sit down, please."
Justice made his way to the back, "She's kind of mean, don't you think?"  He looked over at the girl to his right.
She glared back at him, "Thief."
Sapph Jones.  Yet another person who hated him.
"I didn't steal your backpack, I got it from the person who did."
She smirked, "Of course.  You're not only a thief, but a liar!"
He crossed his arms and said as loudly as he dared, "The redhead jock stole it!"
She glanced at him, not doubting that Jake was the one who stole it.  She looked away, her stubbornness getting the best of her, "Sure."
  He sighed.
Ms. D looked up, "Do I hear someone talking?"
  Sapph smirked, "Only yourself."
Her eyebrow twitched, but she said nothing.  She really was a nice lady, she just didn't have very good patience.
Justice glanced at her, "I'm sorry."
She looked at him, "So you admit?"
He let out a long sigh, "No!  I'm just being the mature one."
She crossed her arms, "So, now you're insulting me?"  He raised his eyebrows, "Actually, you insulted me first."
Ms. D stood up, "Class, please be quiet," she looked around with a pointed look.
Sapph said nothing more, just glared at him then continued her work.
...
Sapph walked through the crowded halls, she couldn't help but feel someone was following her.  She glanced behind her, but there was no one she could pick out of the crowd that appeared to be watching.

The Legends of Ladonia: Chapter Two

Sapph walked into Jess's office after school just as she had requested, "You called for me?"
Jess didn't look up from her papers, "Yes, I wanted to know if you were interested in staying in the dorms here."
Sapph frowned, "Um, I didn't know the school had dorms..."
She glanced at her over her glasses, "Yes, they're directly behind the school, I could have someone give you a tour if you'd like to consider it."
"Oh, um, I guess so."  She wasn't very keen on living in a dorm with a bunch of girls she didn't know, in fact, she hated the idea, but it was better than living with Jason.
Jason Fleming, one of the richest men in town, also owned most of the land and was a professional surgeon who made more money that he could ever hope to spend.  He married into the family that had adopted Sapph, except that all of that family had died and her little sister Lizzie Jones was the only one left.
They lived in a huge mansion in Farragut, Tennessee where all of the rich people lived.  Sapph took any opportunity to get away from the house because Jason didn't really care for her, the only reason he let her live with him was because of his beloved Lizzie.
Sapph sighed, "I don't need a tour, you don't have to pay do you?"
Jess set her papers down, "Of course you have to pay....but....considering that you're a close family friend and I happen to have an extra dorm no one's staying in, I could let you stay there."
Sapph smiled, an abandoned dorm sounded amazing.  "If that's all, Mrs. S, the pleasures all mine."
Mrs. S rolled her eyes at her sarcasm, "Good day, Sapph."

The Legends of Ladonia: Chapter One

Chase braced himself, then opened the door and walked in.  The halls were crowded, people were loud and everyone looked like they wanted to hurt him.  Welcome to high school.
He found his locker and took his bag off his shoulder.  He looked over at the guy next to him.  The guy was wearing a plain green shirt with ripped jeans and destroyed red converse.  He had sandy blonde hair that covered his face and was leaning into his locker.
Chase cleared his throat, "Hi."  He didn't respond.  He tried to talk louder, "Hi, I'm Chase."  He wasn't sure, but he thought he could hear him snoring.  "Um, are you asleep?"  He lightly shook his shoulder.
The guy jolted awake, his head slamming into his locker, "Ahh!"
Chase jumped, "Sorry!  How were you asleep?"
The guy looked over at him with wide, startled eyes, "I don't know...  It happens to people sometimes.  I'm Justice."
"Chase."  He noticed his eyes were a bright electric green, except an eyepatch covered his right eye.
Randomly, the strap on Justice's black messenger bag ripped.  He frowned down at it and picked it up. "That tends to happen sometimes."
Chase pulled some duct tape out of his bag, "Here, you can use this."
Justice smiled, "Thanks."  The bell rang and Chase ran off, not wanting to be late of the first day.  Justice frowned, "Wait!  Your duct tape..."
...
Justice wandered around, he was already ten minutes late for class, but he couldn't find the classroom.  He turned a corner and bumped into someone.  Out of instinct, he reached out and caught them.  He stared down at the girl in his arms, "Um, are you okay?"

Prologue: The Legends of Ladonia

Prologue:

The school was different from any school Chase had ever been to, it just had a "friendly" feel to it, unlike most high schools.  He was sent here to get his mission from Jessica Santos the director of TSA, the spy agency he worked for.
He found his way to the principals' office (she worked as a principal at Farono High School as well as directing TSA,) and knocked on the door.
"Come in," a firm voice came from the office. He opened the door and looked around.  Mrs. Santos stood up and beamed with excitement, "Chase!  It's been so long!" She grabbed him and pulled him into a tight hug.
Did I forget to mention that Mrs. Santos is also Chase's aunt?
There were pictures of all of Jess' cats all over the walls, also some pictures of her and her husband, Andrew, and her beloved son, Kris.
Chase's parents were both dead and Jess was the closest thing he had to a mom. He spent most of his life with her.
She pushed his long hair out of his eyes, frowning, "Remind me to give you a haircut..."
He smirked, "I'm sure I'll forget.  Anyway, what was the mission?"
She put on a serious expression and sat down at her desk, setting aside some papers.  "Well...  I told you it was a mission so that you'd come, but really, I want you to take some time off from the agency and spend high school actually attending school."
He sat down on one of the chairs, "What?  But I like my life how it is, I don't have time to go to school!"
She frowned, "Chase.  This is high school, I think it will be good for you to attend," she thought of something that may convince him, "and you'll do better in life if you have some social skill as well as brain smarts and saving the world all the time."
He thought about it for a minute then smiled, "Okay...  I guess so."
