Her eyes flashed open, she was burning up. She looked around and screamed when she saw her bed was on fire. She backed into the headboard away from the flames and tried to find a path to escape. "MOM! DAD! SOMEONE HELP!"
Moments later, her mom ran in and screamed, quickly running to the fire extinguisher. She extinguished the flames and pulled Bloom off the bed, "Are you hurt!? I'm calling an ambulance!"
She put a hand on her head, the flames hadn't touched her, but suddenly she felt dizzy.
She opened her eyes and groaned, she had an excruciatingly bad headache. "Good, you're awake. Are you hungry?" She looked at the nurse, "What happened?" She sat down on the edge of the bed, "You had a house fire. You show no signs of injury, so I'm guessing you fainted from shock. Are you hungry?" She shook her head, "No thank you. Where is my mom?" The nurse, who's tag read "Hayley", sighed, "She's in the waiting room, I told her to wait out there for a little bit 'cause I wasn't sure what state you'd be in when you woke up. You need to eat, do you prefer a burger or a slice of pizza?"
She grimaced, "I'm not hungry." Hayley nodded and stood up, "Right, I'll bring up the pizza, then."

Legends of Ladonia: Chapter Eight
Chase slammed the book shut and threw it across the room. "Chase?" He turned around, startled, to see Bloom standing there. "Are you okay?" Chase blushed, "Yeah... Studied too hard I guess," he laughed nervously. Bloom frowned, worried. He cleared his throat and stood up, "I was meaning to ask you... Do you wanna.....maybe, um, go on a- I mean....do you wanna hang out?"
"Hang out? Sure." He smiled, relieved, then remembered Bloom had a boyfriend. Oh crap. He blushed and shoved his hands in his pockets. "Yeah. Like friends. Hang out." Bloom nodded, "Yeah...?" He stepped away from her nervously, "That's what friends do?" Bloom looked even more worried, "Yeah...? Are you sure you're okay?" He nodded frantically, "Oh, yeah! I'm great! I'm better than great!" He stepped backwards and bumped into the rail on the balcony in the library.
He grabbed onto it, trying to act like he meant for it to happen. Bloom stepped forward, "Oh gosh! I thought you were gonna fall off for a second!" He felt his face get warmer, "Oh no, no, no... Not me. I'm a....acrobat." Bloom blinked, "Acrobat? Really?" He nodded, wondering why he said that.
"Yupp. Well, I used to be... Not anymore.... I gotta go..." He stepped backward, toppling over the railing. Bloom screamed and ran down the stairs, "Chase! Someone call an ambulance!"
Chase stood up, "I'm okay! Used-to-be acrobat, remember?" Bloom put her hand over her mouth, staring at him with wide eyes, "Yeah... Are you sure!? You fell an entire story!" He nodded, "These bones are steel!" He ran out, terrified.

Legends of Ladonia: Chapter Seven
It had been a week since Chase had said the portal would be fixed. He'd found an old dormitory building which they'd been staying in and had managed to get the portal back with only a broken leg and a purse marking permanently implanted on his spine.
Sapph, Derik and Jake, the ones who were least happy about Chase's "delay," and they decided to see what was even going on in the basement below the old dorm. He was furiously typing on the keypad while tightening a bolt, the machine kept saying, "System error."
Jake crossed his arms, "Chase, we need to talk." Chase sighed and took his glasses off, "What? If you're here to pressure me, I'm working as fast as I can!" Sapph glared at Jake, "No. We're not here to pressure you, we're hear to ask what's going on. How far have you come?"
Chase ran his finger through his uncombed hair, "I don't really know... It's not making much progress...." Jake clenched his fists, "Then try harder! You said we'd be out of here a week ago!" Chase frowned, "Believe me, I'm trying!" Derik sighed, "At least we don't have to go to school."
Rony came down at that moment with a sly smile, "On the contrary, I've signed us all up to attend LA High School, the best public school system in California! It starts tomorrow."
Sapph, Jake and Derik turned to him, "WHAT!? You mean to me, we're not only stuck here, but we HAVE TO GO TO SCHOOL TOO!?" Rony stared, slightly freaked out because they all said the same thing in unison. "Of course."

Legends of Ladonia: Chapter Six
Chase stopped the car in front of the old empty building, for the weekend he took a trip back to his old house in California. The lights were still on in some of the rooms, but there was no sign of any people. He smiled thinking of all the memories him and his friends shared in that dorm.
See, the thing is that Chase, the evil science nerd he was, had created a......say, alternate universe......and had completely destroyed some lives with it. Don't believe me? Well... Let me tell you the story...
6 years ago:
(You'll understand why the times don't quite match up soon enough...)
Everyone was meeting at the pizza parlor for the last day of summer vacation. Chase couldn't wait to tell his friends about his.....creation. C.J. and Derik were the only ones there, and they were arguing about what appeared to be a ketchup packet.
Sapph and Jake, the most annoying/adorable middle school couple you'd ever seen, came in a minute later, "Hey guys," Sapph said, smiling, "I can't believe this is the last day of vacation..." Flash and Rony both rushed in at the same time, literally, they got stuck in the door.
Sapph rolled her eyes, "You guys are such freaks." C.J. laughed and poked her cheek, "You know you love us!" Chase waited for the conversation to die down then pulled out a large box, "I have a surprise for everyone!" Derik sighed, "Great. Last time you made us a surprise we were seeing spots in our vision for a week."
Chase crossed his arms, "You'll like this one!"
Little did all of them know, that this "surprise" could potentially be the worst thing that ever happened to them or the best.

The Legends of Ladonia: Chapter Five
Justice got out of the hospital a couple days later and him and Sapph were now walking along side the pond behind the school. Sapph shoved her hands in her pockets, "I'm sorry I got so mad at you..." Justice shrugged, "It's fine."
She glanced at him, he was so mysterious and intriguing. They were silent for a few minutes, then she glanced at him, "So, where'd you and Zack move here from?" Justice glanced at her, but he'd never make eye contact, "Japan."
"Really?" He nodded, studying his shoes, he got so nervous in social situations. There were a couple more minutes of silence... "So, is Zack your older brother?" She thought she saw him laugh slightly, "Not exactly, we're twins."
"Oh." He grinned slightly, "That's most people's reactions." Sapph played with the zipper on her hoodie, she didn't exactly know how they came to be alone here, but it was kind of awkward and she didn't do very good in social situations either.
Justice was tapping his fingers on his jeans impatiently, "I got homework...and stuff..." She nodded, "Yeah...me too...." He shoved his hands in his jacket pockets, "So....I'm gonna...get to the dorm..." She nodded again, "Yeah....me too...."
They hurried back to the dorm and went into their rooms.

The Legends of Ladonia: Chapter Four
Bloom closed her locker and headed for the school library, she volunteered there after school. She was humming to herself, everyone was gone except maybe a couple teachers packing up in there classrooms, and probably Mrs. S, so she wasn't really paying attention to her surroundings.
She heard someone turning pages in a book behind her and turned around to see who was there.
Two girls, one with blonde hair and one with brown, stood over a pile of books giggling.
"Um, sorry, but the library's closed." The blonde girl smiled at her, "We know," she continued flipping through one of the book, "Oooh! Liz, look! It's Derik!" The brown haired girl, Liz, pointed to the page, "And there's Jake!"
They were silent for a moment, Bloom was about to try telling them to please leave, when they both screamed.
Bloom jumped, "W-what is it!?" Liz looked at the other girl, "GRACIE!! OH. MY. GOSH. I simply cannot handle Joey's HOTNESS!!!"
Bloom frowned, "I'm sorry, but no one's supposed to be in here after 4:00."
Liz crossed her arms, "Gosh! Can you not have mercy on two fangirls. Besides, you're one yourself, are you not?"
Bloom blinked, "What?" Gracie closed the book, which happened to be a middle school yearbook, "Liz! Don't be rude! Hi! I'm Gracie, this is Liz. We'll be leaving soon, we just need to finish up some research."
Bloom sighed, "Well... Only for a little while, but only because I'm here, but you can't be here after I leave!"

The Legends of Ladonia: Chapter Three
"But... It's the second day of school!"
Ms. D crossed her arms, "Justice Matthews, you have detention and there is no but about it! Sit down, please."
Justice made his way to the back, "She's kind of mean, don't you think?" He looked over at the girl to his right.
She glared back at him, "Thief."
Sapph Jones. Yet another person who hated him.
"I didn't steal your backpack, I got it from the person who did."
She smirked, "Of course. You're not only a thief, but a liar!"
He crossed his arms and said as loudly as he dared, "The redhead jock stole it!"
She glanced at him, not doubting that Jake was the one who stole it. She looked away, her stubbornness getting the best of her, "Sure."
He sighed.
Ms. D looked up, "Do I hear someone talking?"
Sapph smirked, "Only yourself."
Her eyebrow twitched, but she said nothing. She really was a nice lady, she just didn't have very good patience.
Justice glanced at her, "I'm sorry."
She looked at him, "So you admit?"
He let out a long sigh, "No! I'm just being the mature one."
She crossed her arms, "So, now you're insulting me?" He raised his eyebrows, "Actually, you insulted me first."
Ms. D stood up, "Class, please be quiet," she looked around with a pointed look.
Sapph said nothing more, just glared at him then continued her work.

...
Sapph walked through the crowded halls, she couldn't help but feel someone was following her. She glanced behind her, but there was no one she could pick out of the crowd that appeared to be watching.
